There is only problem with The Ringers – the band’s name may not ring familiar to you. But calling the quintet a Supergroup is no exaggeration. Comprised of Jimmy Herring, Wayne Krantz, Michael Landau, Gary Novak and Etienne Mbappe, The Ringers bring a collective musical resume that will leave you speechless. On Saturday, January 25, the band will make its Birmingham debut with a show in the Workplay SoundStage.
Herring – best known for his membership in both Widespread Panic and Aquarium Rescue Unit – is a staple on the Southern music circuit. In this project, he is joined by a cast that has backed Steely Dan, James Taylor, B.B. King, Ray Charles and Pink Floyd among countless others. The Ringers formed in 2013 and the band has booked tour dates through this spring.
Tickets to the 18+ show are $25 and can be purchased at www.workplay.com
